Badersee, a lake with its own sea mermaid
You don't want to miss a walk around the emerald-green Badersee tucked away in the forest at the base of Zugspitze.
The crystal-clear water is 18 m (20 yards) deep and doesn't freeze in the winter due to its underground sources. You can marvel at the shining cliffs of the Waxenstein ridge and Zugspitze towering above the pine forest while dangling your feet in the refreshing water (no swimming) or relaxing on the terrace of the Badersee Hotel's restaurant.
Tip:
Rent a row boat and discover the mermaid at the bottom of the lake.
