Cross-country skiing on one of the four loops in Grainau is a real treat, regardless of whether you are seeking relaxation with beautiful views, a gentle workout or a more challenging run. There are loops for both classical cross-country skiing and skating.
The loop in the center of Grainau is illuminated so that you can also work out after dark.

The tracks in Grainauer are generally maintained regularly and in very good condition.

Track 1 - Törlenweg
Currently maintained: no
Current condition:
4 km, meadows with a mild incline followed by a mild downhill stretch.
Track also suitable for beginners.
Start: Oberer Dorfplatz-Törlenweg

Track 2 - Zugspitzbad
Currently maintained: no
Current condition:
Length of round: 4 km, almost flat, partly forested, can be combined with Track 3 (Untergrainau) or Track 4 (to Hammersbach or Garmisch-Partenkirchen) to run a loop
Start: Ice rink at the Zugspitzbad aquatic center, or else at Schwarzenkopfweg or Zugspitzstrasse/Tegernau

Track 3 - Krepbach
Currently maintained: no
Current condition:
Length of round 3,5 km, flat meadows, 850 m night skiing.
Classical and skating.
The night track on the Untergrainau meadow is closed.
Can be combined with Tracks 2 and 4.
Start: Unterer Dorfplatz-Krepbachweg or Loisachstrasse

Track 4 - Hammersbach
Currently maintained: no
Current condition:
Length of round 4 km, flat meadows. Classical and skating.
Connection to the tracks in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Start: Zugspitzstrasse/Tegernau or Hammersbach/Nelkenweg

Track Combination:

* Tracks 2 and 3; length of round approx. 8 km
* Tracks 2 and 4; length of round approx. 8 km
* Tracks 2, 3 and 4; length of round approx. 12 km
