Hike: "Hochthörle Hut - Eibsee View"

Together we set off with the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn up to the Eibsee. Passing the Eibsee-Alm, we set off in the direction of Riffelriss. The first meters are covered in the mountain forest. After a few more strenuous meters of altitude, we have reached the highest point of our hike. We leave the Riffelriss behind us and head towards the Hochthörle hut.
In the middle of the wooded mountain ridge at the Eibsee lies the state border to Austria. This hike, however, leads us on official paths below the imposing Zugspitze peak - over which, by the way, the German-Austrian border also runs - to the fantastically situated Hochthörle Hütte. It already belongs to Tyrol/Austria and offers you a beautiful view of the Ehrwald valley. After a break, we make our way back to the Eibsee together. As a highlight we have the viewpoint "Eibseeblick" at the end. There we have a view to the north of the Ammergebirge and the Eibsee, which lies deep below.
