Trailrunning around Germany's highest mountain
SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by LEDLENSER, 19th until 21st June 2020
To all friends of running and trailrunning: the 10th SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail, Germany's largest trailrun event, will take place from 19th to 21st June 2020 in the Zugspitzdorf Grainau again. The SALOMON Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by LEDLENSER has always been a special event. Since its premiere in 2011, when just 750 runners took part, the “ZUT” has grown in the space of just a few years to become one of the biggest and hardest trailrun events in Germany welcoming runners from 50 countries around the world. Online registration will be possible in appoximately September 2019 but you will need to be quick to secure one of the spots available.
The field is strictly limited to 2,500 places in order to offer participants optimal support and service before and during the event.
In 2020 the routes will once again start in Grainau, Ehrwald, Leutasch-Weidach, Mittenwald and Garmisch-Partenkirchen and all will finish in the village of Grainau at the foot of the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain.
In keeping with the tradition of previous years, runners will complete their respective routes in an anticlockwise direction around the Zugspitze. There are five different distances to choose from, all featuring outstanding trails with fabulous views of the Wetterstein Mountains. The longest is the Ultratrail (101.9 kilometres/approx. 5,480 vertical metres), followed by the Supertrail XL (81.1 km), the Supertrail (62.8 km), the Basetrail XL (39.3 km) and the Basetrail (25.1 km).
