Game feeding

Stalking roe deer and stag

Full board in the winter quarters

In the cold and snowy months, the animals no longer find enough food at higher altitudes and make their way to flatter regions.
These for Red deer typical migrations, sometimes over many kilometers, are often no longer possible today - dense human settlement stands in the way. In order to prevent animals from starving to death in winter or causing major damage to the important mountain forests through browsing, some forestry operations of the Bavarian State Forests set up winter enclosures.

You can see them all here: mighty stagsyoung calves and experienced Old animals and, of course, the male ones called bourgeois Young deer.
