Between heaven and the valley of hell
Just above the Alpspitzbahn mountain station, two steel girders form a floating X almost a thousand meters below. The AlpspiX viewing platform elicits reverent oohs and aahs even from experienced mountain enthusiasts and summiteers - at the latest at the glazed end of the 25-metre-long walkways, from where there are unrestricted views of the snow-covered Zugspitze, Waxensteine, the huge Alpspitz north face and down into the wild Höllental valley.
Winter world from Adler's perspective
Visitors can also enjoy this overwhelming experience during the winter season. Simply follow the signposted route via the upper floor of the Alpspitzbahn mountain station! Temporary closures of the AlpspiX are possible due to weather conditions - the daily weather forecast of the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway.
