Fun on the ice
The Grainau natural ice rink is located in the town center, directly at the spa gardens.
It is run by the municipality, and many hard-working volunteers spend days working on the ice rink to ensure that skating is a truly enjoyable experience. With temperatures fluctuating greatly, this is no easy task.
As soon as it has been cold for a long time and the ice is thick enough, the rink can be opened. Then you can see young and old alike Ice skating or Curling. The youngest are with the Pinguin, an ice skating aid, for safe skating.
