Fun on the ice
The Grainau natural ice rink is located in the town center, directly at the spa gardens.
It is run by the municipality and many hard-working helpers work for days on end to make the ice surface really fun to skate on. With temperatures fluctuating wildly, this is no easy task.
As soon as it has been cold for a long time and the ice is thick enough, the rink can be opened. Young and old can then watch the Ice skating or Curling. The youngest are with the Penguin, an ice skating aid, for safe skating.
There is a hut at the ice rink where you can relax. Hire skates A groundsman is on site during the opening hours mentioned.
