With the Grainau guest card you can travel free of charge:

On the route Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Grainau - Eibsee with the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn and the bus with the Number 323 (9840)the so-called "Eibseebus".
Within Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the buses can be as of January 1, 2026 can be used free of charge.

During the Bavarian Christmas and carnival vacations, our Ski bus again free of charge for our guests.
On January 1, 2026, the district will join the Munich Transport and Tariff Association MVV with. The Grainau Guest Card is then valid for travel in fare zones 9 to 12 (tickets must be purchased for all other fare zones). The Bayerische Zugspitzbahn and bus 323 (9840) also take passengers to the DB train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. (Free of charge with a valid guest card).
In Untergrainau there is a station that German Railways. Many trains travel directly to Munich via Garmisch-Partenkirchen, without changing trains.
There is an excellent connection to Garmisch-Partenkirchen station from many German cities. The train to Munich runs at least every hour. Timetables at www.bahn.de
From the station of the German Railways in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, it is only a few minutes' walk to the station of the Bavarian Zugspitze Railwaywhich stops in Hammersbach and at the Zugspitze station in Grainau, among other places.
