Guest card

The "Grainau CARD" is a personal guest card that is free of charge for vacation guests in the Zugspitz village of Grainau. It is issued by the municipality of Grainau.

The personalized guest card is only valid when used with the official scratch card from the Grainau Tourist Information Office or the digital guest card sent by the Tourist Information Office, which can be used on a smartphone (including Wallet and the digital vacation companion “Loisl”).

It is valid for the entire registered duration of the vacation, including the day of arrival and departure.

It is issued exclusively by the hosts of the municipality of Grainau when the guest registers and is sent to the guest digitally. The card cannot be purchased.

It is issued from 6 to 15 years of age as a children's ticket (K) and from 16 years of age as an adult ticket (E). The day of arrival is decisive for the age.

Terms of use:

• The guest card is not transferable.
• It is only valid with the printed (or registered) full name of the guest, as well as the arrival and departure dates.
• It is only valid in conjunction with a valid photo ID. The service partners are entitled to request appropriate identification.
• The guest card must be presented to the service partner. If this is not possible, reimbursement of the costs for the use of the service cannot be claimed retrospectively from the tourist information office, the host or the service partner.
• The guest card is valid not for trips to the Zugspitze.
• In the event of theft, loss or defect of the card, the cardholder is obliged to report this incident immediately to the host or the Tourist Information Zugspitzdorf Grainau.
• In the event of misuse of the card, in particular unauthorized disclosure to third parties, the service partners, the municipality of Grainau and the hosts are entitled and obliged to retain the guest card without compensation.
• The cardholder is liable to the municipality of Grainau and the service partners for damages resulting from misuse of the card by him/herself or by third parties.
• The services can only be used during the normal opening and business hours of the respective service partner. Entitlement to services shall lapse in the event of force majeure, temporary suspension of business operations and for other important reasons.
• The issue and use of the card does not create a contractual obligation between the cardholder and the municipality of Grainau or the host with regard to the services. Only the respective service partner is obliged to provide services, not the municipality of Grainau or the host, unless the services are provided by the municipality of Grainau itself.
• The card does not include any insurance benefits for activities and operations in the course of or in connection with the use of the card.
