Lake Eibsee

The Eibsee lies at the foot of the Zugspitze at an altitude of 1000 m and is beautiful all year round. There is a good walkable, ca. 7 km long hiking trail around the lake.
In the warm half of the year the SUP and boat rental, the Eishütterl, the souvenir shop, the beer garden and the Seerestaurant Eibsee Pavillon are open. If the weather is fine, you can swim and take a lake cruise with the motor boat "Reserl".

The crystal clear lake is 48 hectares large and up to 34 meters deep. It belongs to the municipality of Grainau and is privately owned by the Eibsee Hotel. There is a charge for parking and free access to the lake.
