Ski-Touring - pure mountain experience

Most people know all about gliding down well-groomed slopes on skis in graceful turns. But there is also the other way: ski touring. The ascent is more strenuous than the descent, but you find yourself in perfect harmony with nature and enjoy the wonderful views. And at the top you are rewarded with a picture book panorama and the anticipation of the upcoming descent.

Right from the village, the "Riffelriss" ski run is a popular ascent route for those with sporting ambitions.

For beginners and those who would like to get a taste of it, the Eckbauer in neighbouring Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the perfect place to start, complete with an informative ski tour educational trail.

Mount Wank is also very popular. In winter it belongs to the traditional climbers. Away from the hustle and bustle, it allows you to enjoy pure nature and an unforgettable descent into the valley.
