Mountain tour "Stepberg - Ziegspitze

We drive by car to the parking lot at the alpine hut. From there it goes uphill over the "yellow Gwänd" up to the Stepbergalm. The route continues via the Jägerhütte, the Gatterl and the front Ziegspitz to the summit cross on the Ziegspitze. From the summit you have a wonderful view of the Zugspitze and the entire Wetterstein massif, the Karwendel mountains, the and the Ammer mountains. With good visibility all the way out to Lake Starnberg.

 You need a good level of fitness for this mountain tour, the way to the summit is not technically difficult - but long. There are 1100 meters of altitude difference in the ascent, a distance of about 19 km in a walking time of total. 9 – 10 hours.
