The Höllentalangerhütte is managed by the German Alpine Club  (DAV section Munich-Oberland) but open to the general public and provides overnight accommodation at an elevation of 1387 m. You can reserve sleeping places directly on the website. The hut is the ideal base for experienced mountaineers as a starting point to ascend the Zugspitze from its more demanding side along the famous Höllental route. But it is also an extraordinary destination for mountain enthusiasts on day trips or as a base for more lengthy hikes exploring the surrounding mountains.
