The parents of mountain farmer Mathias Höllriegl are desperate. Things can't go on like this with her son: a woman has left him again. The third within a short time! Mathias vows to prove his male independence from now on. No woman can cross his threshold anymore. But Mathias' mother Rosa in particular suffers from her son's stubbornness, because the farm - which has been in the family for seven generations - urgently needs an heir. That's why she and her husband Franz come up with a clever plan: the two of them fake sudden old age, frailty and the onset of dementia to Mathias. And so it doesn't take long until Mathias is completely overwhelmed by the intensive "need for care". With the help of the enterprising Lisa Ramberg, mother Rosa is now looking for a suitable carer, which she believes she will find in the farmer's daughter Palinda from Bali, who is willing to marry. Mathias has no idea about his parents' plot. But these are already full of positive expectations: Bali - the magical island of 1,000 temples and gods, the tender soul of Asia. If that's not a good omen! And so a little later, Palinda - with many Balinese cultural assets in her luggage - arrives at the remote mountain farm and throws life there into chaos.
