From the idyllically situated Lake Pflegersee, the path leads over the Kramer plateau to St.-Martin-Hütte. From here you will have a great view over Garmisch-Partenkirchen and from Mount Wank to the Wetterstein Mountains and the Mountain Range of the Zugspitze, which is well worth every effort made. The tour will guide you back to the Pflegersee via the well-maintained steps of the Kellerleitensteig. At the Kellerleitensteig, you will have a great view over the Valley of the Loisach. When you have returned to Pflegersee, you can retreat in the cosy Berggasthof Pflegersee inn or go for a refreshing swim in the lake.
For a more detailed description of the tour, please refer to "PDF Print" above.
The starting point is the parking area near the Pflegersee where you will start in the direction of the lake. At the public swimming area, you will find an information board that will help you to orientate yourself. Now, follow the signs to Garmisch and walk along the descending road. After some distance, a forest path leads alongside the road. After you have crossed the street, walk uphill over the Kramerplateau path to the memorial chapel for soldiers (Kriegergedächtniskapelle). From here, the path leads to St.-Martin-Hütte. After a stop, return on the same route and follow the signs to the Pflegersee via Kellereleitensteig. The slightly descending path leads you back to the Pflegersee.
